<p>MAHONEY – Michael T. “Mikey”, age 21 of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 16, 2023, unexpectedly. </p><p>Beloved son of Michael Mahoney of Quincy and Elizabeth (Stapleton) Mahoney of Weymouth. Devoted brother of Shannon Mahoney of Weymouth. Loving grandson of Paul Mahoney of Braintree, and the late Barbara (O’Brien) Mahoney. Also, the late Richard and Gloria (Sherman) Stapleton. Adored nephew of John Mahoney and his wife Mary of Braintree, Kathleen Carvalho and her husband Claudio of Weymouth, William Mahoney and his wife Kristine of Norton, James Mahoney and his wife Michelle of Abington, Richard Mahoney and his wife Kerri of Taunton, Barbara Connolly and her husband John of Weymouth, Matthew Stapleton of Dorchester, Dennis Stapleton of Randolph, Michelle Murphy and her husband Phillip Sheehan of Tamworth, NH., Deborah Stapleton of Holbrook, Irene Stapleton of Roslindale, the late Richard Stapleton, Timothy Stapleton, Maryellen Stapleton, and Nancy Stapleton. Cherished godson of Cheryl Boyd of West Roxbury and John Mahoney of Braintree. Also survived by many caring cousins and friends. </p><p>Michael’s two greatest loves were animals and his friends, cherishing his time with his cats and with friends at Great Esker in Weymouth. </p><p>Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 24th in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St., (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. </p><p>In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Michael may be made to Samaritans, Inc. P.O.
