It is with profound sadness that the family of John George Small announce his passing on March 19th, 2023 at the Central Newfoundland Hospital at the age of 75 years. John was one of 6 children born to Florence and Walter Small of Bishop Falls.

Left to mourn: his loving wife Bert (of 54 years), his two two fur babies Sasha and Boomer, his daughters Tonia & (Roland Hawling) in New Brunswick, Natasha & (Bill McBride) in Ontario, and four grandchildren: Ethan, Alexzia, Makayla and Madison. Along with a large number of immediate family and friends.

John worked for Canada Packers for 25 years and as a truck driver on the island for 13 years. He loved travelling the roads. John loved life and he had a contagious laugh and smile. He loved hunting and anything sports related. John absolutely loved the hockey team the Boston Bruins. Most of all John was a lover of telling stories about his life experiences and there were many.

Above anything, his pride and joy were his four grandchildren: Ethan, Alexzia, Makayla and Madison. He loved them dearly!

Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-WIndsor. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1pm at Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor. The internment will take place at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Bishop Falls.
