<p>Nancy L. Bowers, 76, of Lewistown passed away at 5:14 pm Saturday March 18, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born May 21, 1946 at Chicago, IL; the daughter of John C. and Florence M. (Moravec) Zahora. She married Rodney J. Bowers on November 9, 1968 at Galesburg. He survives with one daughter In-Law, Jennifer M. Bowers of Lewistown, two grandchildren, Matthew J. Bowers of Lewistown, and Amilia M. (Jonathan) Mummert of Lewistown, two great grandchildren, Raina and Mia Mummert, two sisters, Susan (David) Pletz, and Sharon (Jerry) Brasel. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Brian J. Bowers on June 26, 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy worked as a surgical nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lewistown. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.
