<p>Rita (Pingelli) Di Renzo</p><p><br></p><p>Di Renzo Rita (nee Pingelli). March 16, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Nunzio “Anthony” Di Renzo. Devoted mother of Robert Di Renzo (Maureen Joyce) and the late Bruce Di Renzo. Mother-in-law of Janet Di Renzo and Marisol Di Renzo. Grandmother of Lauren (Anthony) Theokary and Bryan, Richmond, Monique, Melissa, William and Ryann Di Renzo. Great grandmother of Isabella, Angel, Krystina and Kyle. Many loving nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law also survive Rita. </p><p><br></p><p>Rita was a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia. She cared deeply for her family, and her compassion for people extended further to friends and neighbors. Rita did this not out of obligation but because of her loving character.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her role as a wife to Anthony and mother to her two sons, Rita held the position of registrar at The University of the Arts, Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, from 1969 to 1993. According to testimonials from staff and professors, her presence as registrar at the college significantly impacted the success of the college, peers and students. Upon her retirement, Rita was honored with a concert celebration titled “Just for You,” which included the “Hesitation Waltz” for piano by composer Andrew Rudin. After her retirement, Rita and her husband volunteered at a local hospital for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to her VIEWING Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 9 AM at The Church of St. Monica, 17th and Ritner St., Followed by her mass at 10 AM. Int S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery.</p>
