Philip Gavranic, 76, born November 24, 1946,  formerly of Highland and Crown Point, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Phil is survived by his former wife, Anita; daughters, Debbie (Dave) Kirk and Laurie (Eric) Hilgeman; sons, Philip Jr. (Tasha) Gavranic and Chris Gavranic. Also survived by grandchildren, David, Ben, Josh, Noah and Abbey Kirk; Zac and Jake Hilgeman as well as his sister, Lynette (the late Ron) Maty. Preceded in death by parents, Matt and Dorothy Gavranic.

Phil was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was formerly employed by and retired from BP Amoco as a chief operator. Also employed by Crown Point High School.

Phil enjoyed working on cars and owned a body shop in Whiting in the 70s.

He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family. We are thankful for the hope and comfort we have, that we will be reunited with him one day in heaven because of his faith in Jesus.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Dave Kirk officiating at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Avenue Highland, IN.
