<p>Emil S. “Bud” Berzinski, 95, died March 16 at Mercy One Hospital, Clinton, IA.</p><p>The remains will be cremated, and there will be no service. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.</p><p>Mr. Berzinski was born February 20, 1928 to Emil A. and Augusta Berzinski in Winona, MN. He graduated from Winona High School, then from Drake University for his bachelor’s degree. His education was put on hold when he served in the U. S. Army as a first lieutenant during the Korean War. Following his service, he entered the University of Iowa and earned his master’s degree there.</p><p>Mr. Berzinski whose degrees were in social studies and guidance worked first for the Rockford, IL school system but spent most of his teaching career at Glenbrook South High School, Glenview, IL, where he served as associate principal in charge of guidance and special education.</p><p>He retired in 1987 and moved from Lake Forest, IL, to Fulton.</p><p>Survivors include his wife Beverly whom he married in 1961, one brother Ken, Cedar Rapids, IA, and 9 nieces and nephews.</p><p>Online condolences may be sent to www.mcdonaldfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
