HORAK – Jaroslav “Jerry”, age 69 of Dorchester, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Loving father of Jennifer Ferrick of Hull. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Maria (Giszka) Horak. Devoted brother of Maria Kelly and her husband James, Joseph Horak all of California, John Horak and his wife Karen of Lynn, and the late Milena Horak. Cherished grandfather of Juliana Ferrick. Caring uncle of Natasha, Katrina, Annie, Joe and Nadia. Adoring great-uncle of Erick, Dominick, Abigail, and Reagan.

Jerry retired after a long career as a custodian with the Boston Public Schools. He always enjoyed his time with the teachers and students. Jerry was an avid sports fan of all Boston sports, especially his beloved Boston Red Sox, even when he disagreed with the manager’s decisions.

Inurnment service will be held Friday, March 24th at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St., DORCHESTER at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jerry may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
