Dalton W. Miller, 94, of Fairhope, died March 17, 2023 at The Patriot. Born April 24, 1928 in Allegheny Twp., son of William A. and Jessie J. (Miller) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Amy Dorothy Ohler, grandson Justin Paul Duecker, brothers: Leonard, Floyd, and Theodore Miller, infant brother Lloyd, and sisters: Mary Straka, Virginia Miller, and Hazel Emerick. Survived by sons: Gary (Rebecca) Ohler, Terry Duecker, and George (Pam) Ohler; grandchildren: Courtney (Christopher) Ferry, Michael Ohler, Jessica (Terry) Nicholson, and Stephanie (Brandon) Edgar; 5 great grandchildren; brother Charles Miller; sister Betty Meslovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. He attended Pine Valley School, and was a Korean War Army Veteran with the 101st Airborne “Screaming Eagles.” Retired from Poorbaugh Lumber. Member of Fairhope Community Church, Berlin American Legion, and a life member of Paradise Valley Sportsmens Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, feeding wildlife, farming, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. James Swauger officiating. Military honors provided by the Berlin Veterans Home at the funeral home. Interment Miller Cemetery, Fairhope.
