Donald J. Clements, 89, of Browning, IL, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 29, 1933, in Frederick, IL, the son of Herman and Ethel Mae Belville Clements. He married Helen Canada on October 10, 1953, and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2022.

He is survived by his children: Vern (Debra) Clements, of Arenzville, IL, Anthony (Cindy) Clements, of Astoria, Bruce (Tabitha) Clements, of Rushville; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Helen, and his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a daughter: Brenda Clements, brothers: William “Bill” Clements, Cecil Clements, Eldon “Bud” Clements, Russell Clements; and sisters: Wava Heffren and Macel Stemp.

Donald served in the United States Army, before starting his career as a welder. He enjoyed duck hunting, wood carving, fishing, collecting antiques, and spending time with friends and family. He was also a member of the Browning Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held be held at Sager Funeral Home, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Browning Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charitable organization of the donor’s choosing.
