Richard Joseph Giera

<p>Richard Joseph Giera (Rich) age 78 of Rochester, MI, passed away on Friday March 17th, 2023. Loving husband of Marcia (Rittersdorf). Dearest father of Christie (Anthony Allport) and Brian (Sarah Dean). Loving grandfather of Wyatt and Felix.</p><p><br></p><p>Rich was predeceased by his parents John and Stella, and his brothers Eugene and James. He is survived by his sisters-in-law – Elaine Ryan (Jack), Mary Kay Fedak (Steve), and Linda Keimig (Jim) – and several nieces and nephews who called him “Uncle Skunkle” for his fun-loving sense of humor.</p><p><br></p><p>Upon graduation from Sacred Heart Seminary, Rich earned his Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics from the University of Detroit. He enjoyed a long career as a Systems Analyst for General Motors/EDS.</p><p><br></p><p>Rich was a kind and loving soulmate to his wife Marcia for 46 years. He cherished family time with his children and grandchildren who were the love of his life. Rich enjoyed all sorts of Michigan sports, bridge, tennis, and travel.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends admired him for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his humility.</p><p><br><br></p><p></p>
