On February 28th, 2023, William Morrison Walsh, 71, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Bill Walsh was born on August 27th, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Frank Walsh Jr. and Gloria Walsh. He grew up in Sterling, CO after the family moved there in 1955. Bill graduated from Sterling High School in 1969 and attended Stanford University, playing football and earning a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. Following college Bill moved to Montana where he met Patricia Barbeau. Bill and Patty married in 1979, and settled soon after in Sterling, raising their daughter Rory and son Frank.

In the early 1980s, Bill and his brother David joined the family oil and gas exploration business, Walsh Production, Inc., which was founded by their father Frank Walsh, Jr. Together, they oversaw the successful growth of the company, ultimately selling the business in 2008. After retiring, Bill enjoyed spending time in Colorado, Arizona, and California and visiting with his children and grandchildren.

Bill embraced life with passion and wit. Over the years, he enjoyed skiing, boating, scuba diving and playing golf. He appreciated art and loved to travel. Most of all, he had a deep lifelong love of music-ideally played as loud as possible.

Bill is survived by Patty Walsh; daughter Rory Walsh-Miller and husband Jason; son Frank Walsh III and wife Kara; four grandchildren, Wren Miller, Oona Miller, Frank Walsh IV, Bennett Walsh; sister-in-law Kathie Walsh; nephew Carlin Walsh and wife Michelle; nephew Darrin Walsh; and devoted employee and friend, Judy Vandagriff.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gloria Walsh and brother, David Walsh. A private service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the David Walsh Cancer Center, c/o Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
