<p>Marjorie L. Cunningham, 81, died Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Uniontown, PA, on Father’s Day, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Ruby (Lynn) Emery. Marjorie was a graduate of Scotch Plains High School. She was always a well dressed young woman, with a keen eye for fashion. Her gentle and loving nature made her a well sought after babysitter in town. She met her husband, Richard while in high school, and settled in South Plainfield to raise their family. She attended Billy Graham Christian Revivals and had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved cardinals and watching old black and white movies. She was a loving wife and mother.</p><p><br></p><p>Marjorie was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Richard in 2000; her son Michael in 2017 and her sister Sonny. She leaves behind her loving sons David, Paul and James Cunningham of Westfield; her sister Joann; and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Gathering with the family will be 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, NJ 08805. The funeral service will begin 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
