Nora Bell Sheppard Jones, 89, of Macon, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, March 20, from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home. Immediately following, the family will make their way in procession to Glen Haven Memorial Gardens for a graveside service that will start at 2:00 PM with Pastor Craig Walden officiating.

Mrs. Jones was born on January 26, 1934, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late William “Bill” A. Wilson and Mrs. Maggie Hampton Wilson. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, that also worked part time at Pic-N-Pay Shoe Store. She spent much of her free time taking care of her yard, cutting grass and tending to her flowers and gardens. Mrs. Jones enjoyed cooking, especially on holidays. She was a sweet joyful woman, loving mother to five beautiful children, who loved her family more than life itself.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 60 plus years, Robert E. Jones, Sr.; daughters, Teresa Lee Jones and Norma Jean Jones; and three siblings.

Left to cherish Mrs. Jones memory is her children; Margaret Ann Purvis (Terry), Robert E. Jones, Jr., and Susan Marie Jones (Tracy); ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Johnston (Lester); and several nieces and nephews.
