<p>Kenneth Dwayne Barnard,</p><p><br></p><p>67, of Terra Alta, passed away Thursday, March 16, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his loving wife by his side. The son of the late George and Alma (Paugh) Barnard, he was born on February 15, 1956 in Elk Garden, WV. Ken exemplified a life well-lived. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, youth softball and baseball coach, active church member, and business owner. He loved to host family cookouts, spend time in nature, and share his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ken never met a stranger, always eager to tell a great story and make people laugh. He was kind and generous beyond measure. His greatest joy in life was being a grandfather. Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie, son, Austin Barnard (Cathy) of Newport News, VA, and their children, Andrew and Zoe, and daughter, Kelly Barnard of Morgantown, WV, as well as one brother, Charles Barnard of Winchester, VA, one sister, Suzette (Randy) Harold, of Kitzmiller, MD, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma "Sis" Hardesty.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 until the 11:00 a.m. time of service at the funeral home with Jay Freeland officiating. Interment will follow in the Faith Cemetery in Cranesville.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be extended online to the family at www.arthurwrightfuneralhome.com.</p>
