Sharon Lois Baker, 76, passed away on March 17, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Hartford City on September 4, 1946 to Paul Edward Adkins and Martha Lois (Younts) Adkins. Both her parents preceded her in death.

Sharon graduated from Hartford City High School in 1964. She retired from Prime Trust Financial Credit Union in Muncie, where she was a loan officer.

She married John Ferratt on April 2, 2022 at Union Chapel Church in Muncie.

Sharon was an active member of Union Chapel Church. God and her church were very important to her. She had a smile that was endless and she loved spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her boys, until she earned the title of grandma, and they became the lights of her life. She loved attending her grandkids sporting events.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, John Ferratt of Muncie, sons, P. Chad (wife, Lisa) Baker of Westfield and Aaron J. (wife, Tasha) Baker of Hartford City; grandchildren, Grayson Baker, Graham Baker, Griffin Baker, Dane Baker, Gage Baker and Taytum Whiteley; sister, Paula K. Smith of Hampstead, NC; brother, John P. (wife, Shonda) Adkins of Erwin, TN; several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her brother, James R. Adkins.

Funeral service will be at 4 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Rev. Glenn Greiner officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Keplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Union Cemetery in Eaton, IN.
