Virginia L. Eaddy Obituary

Virginia (Sparks) Eaddy was called to rest on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late Alphonso Sparks and Iola Baynes.  Virginia was born in Stamford, CT on September 18, 1955, and was the youngest of four children.  She attended public schools in Stamford, graduating from Westhill

High School class of 1973.

Virginia was formerly married to Tyron Davis, and they parented one son, Tyron Davis, Jr.   She worked for the Connecticut Natural Gas Company in Greenwich, Connecticut where she broke the glass ceiling, becoming the first female union member in the Utility Workers Union of America AFL-CIO (UWUA AFL-CIO) Local 380 Connecticut Natural Gas, Greenwich.   She later transferred to the Gas Company in Hartford, Connecticut where she retired in 2016.

Virginia was not only a trailblazer for aspiring men and women but was also a woman of determination and brutal honesty.  She loved her friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her son, Tyron (Nydia) Davis; two grandsons, Matthew and Bryson Davis; two sisters, Diana Carter of Duluth, GA and Janis B. (Winton) Hill of Stamford, CT.  Her special and dear friend, Jimmy Boyd, who she shared so much of the last decade with and several nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

In recent years she enjoyed her early morning walks with her son Tyron, who was the center of her life.  She enjoyed talking with him, fussing with him and trying her best to tell a grown man what to do.

She was predeceased by her parents, affectionally known as "Sparky" (her father) and "Pee Wee" (her mother) and by her brother Richard Sparks.
