Mary Virginia Hodge Teal of Columbus, GA went to her heavenly home peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 81 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Glenn Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.

Mary went home to be with her parents, Hazel Allen and William F. Hodge, brother, Billy Hodge, husband, Billy Teal, daughter, Michele Teal and son, Robby Teal. Mary cherished and dearly loved her family, both near and far, who were the great joys of her life. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and she was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters to include: her sons, Thomas Teal (Sandra), Randy Teal (JoAnn), Robert Teal, daughter, Tina Etheridge (Jack), grandchildren, Donald Poe (Jessica), Daniel Sewell, Brandon Teal (Lauren), Tara Etheridge, Derrian Harris (Austin), great-grandchildren, brother, Gary Hodge (Patty), sisters, Barbara Jones, Ginny Dickerson, many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. Mary remained a faithful Christian for her entire life and made a family of her church group at Fortson Road Church of God of Prophecy. We know that God is pleased to have one of His children and generous angles back in his arms, where she belongs.
