Katy Overton Obituary

In Memory of Katy Overton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katy Overton, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Thursday, March 17, 2023. She was the happiest when surrounded by her family, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A native of Corydon, Indiana, Katy was born August 31, 1931, to Christine (Miller) and Welby Sanders. One of her favorite childhood memories included accompanying her grandpa to show cows at the Corydon Fair. Katy enjoyed collecting antiques and cooking for loved ones. She was a lighthouse that weathered many storms, and she will be deeply missed.

Katy leaves behind her 2 sons, Paul (Anne) Hendrich and Marty (Deborah) Hendrich, 4 grandchildren, Gina (Dan) Thomas, Andy (Erica) Hendrich, Paul Jr. Hendrich, and Susan Hendrich, as well as 7 beloved great-grandchildren, Pepper Jo, Olive Mae, Sylas, Eowyn, Max, Isla, and Atlas.

She was preceded in death by her son David (Marie) Hendrich, husband Ed Overton, and sister Anna (Al) Martin.

Please join us in celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
