Sandra (Sandy) Elizabeth Sloane, 77, of Frederick, MD died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Casey House, a hospice facility. She was born in Albany, NY on September 12, 1945, to the late Ilillian Davis and Jack West.

Sandy was a member of Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church. She served on the Usher Board and Mission's Team, which was near and dear to her heart. She was a Class of 1963 Lincoln Alumni, retired from Southern Research Institute, and was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. Her favorite past time was playing cards with family.

She is survived by: two daughters, Rhonda Belton of Rockville, MD and Gail West of Frederick, MD (with whom she resided); five grandchildren, LaMar West (Dawn) of Frederick, MD, Aliyah Belton of US Navy (stationed in San Diego, CA), Asyah and Kimani West of Frederick, MD, and Myles Belton of Rockville, MD; three great grandchildren, RaMal West of Columbia MD, and Maddox Pacheco and Mariah West of Frederick, MD; one brother, Ronald West of Washington DC; two aunts, Eleanor Davis and Martha Holliday of Frederick, MD; and a number of nieces and nephews. Sandy will also be greatly missed by her special girls: Tammy Thompson, Penny Spencer, JoAnn Rollins, Delores Shackelford, and Leona Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, John Sloane, sister, Brenda Squirrel, and brother, Junius West.
