Mrs. Daphene Lessie Blevins Lambert, age 88 of West Jefferson passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Hospice of Piedmont in High Point, NC.

Mrs. Lambert was born in Ashe County on September 11, 1934 to the late Calvin and Grace Burkett Blevins. She worked as a sewing machine operator at Hane’s Mfg. Company. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be greatly missed.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lambert; three brothers, Lake Blevins, Ronnie Blevins and Darrell Blevins; a sister, Hazel Shaeffer.

Mrs. Lambert is survived by one son; Terry Lambert (Donna) of Greensboro, two brothers; Brian Blevins of Salem, VA and Harold Blevins of Maryland, one sister; Wanda Blevins of Salem, VA, one granddaughter; Bailey Herndon (Garrison), of Greensboro; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Midway Baptist Church in West Jefferson NC. Rev. Tom Vestal and Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Midway Baptist Church from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm; two hours prior to the funeral service.
