Sandra Payne, 81 year old longtime resident of Spavinaw, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at her home. Sandra was born on Oct 12, 1941 in Norfolk, VA to Ervin and Cleona (Walker) Woffard. She attended school in Spavinaw, and even though she moved away for a time being when she was married, she always considered Spavinaw to be home. She returned to Spavinaw in the early 70’s and has made her home there ever since. Sandra was a member of United Methodist Church in Spavinaw and loved to crochet. She loved her Lord and her family, with some of her most favorite times providing dinner for all her family to join together, and her time tending her garden and house plants. She grew up enjoying music with a special appreciation for Willie Nelson and his music.

She is survived by her daughter, Timilyn Ramaker; her son, Chris Payne; grandchildren, Julia and her husband Chris Wayne Harless, Christopher Wortham, Zachary and his wife Cheyenna Payne, Calista Ramaker; great grandchildren, Xyler, Jedidiah, and Keziah. All her family call Spavinaw home. Sandra also had a large extended family and friends that she loved so dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters, Hedy and Flo.

Her life will be celebrated with graveside services, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery with Rev. Bill Foster officiating.
