<p>Jennie “Nell” Zoenell Henderson, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023. </p><p>Graveside services will be held on July 4, 2023, in Lieb Cemetery.&nbsp; Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Hansford County Hospice, Tunnel to Towers, Morse Fire Department or Morse Community Building. </p><p>Nell was born July 4, 1928, in Spearman, Texas to Walter Gillespie and Mary Denman Gillespie.&nbsp; She loved being outside and tending to her huge garden or tending to the lawn, mowing, spraying weed and whatever else needed to be done on the farm.&nbsp; Nell enjoyed cooking and sewing.&nbsp; She was an active leader in the Morse/Hansford County 4-H and Home Demonstration Club.&nbsp; Nothing brought more joy to her life than playing games with her family and friends and eating homemade ice cream. </p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Gillespie; husband Edwin Earl Henderson; daughter, Patricia Minard; great grandson, Lance “L J” Fishburn; brothers, Jack Gillespie, John Gillespie, Ben Gillespie; and sister, Nan McCloy. </p><p>Survivors include her son, Alva Henderson and wife Brenda of Allen, Texas; daughter, Carolyn Greene and Abraham Smit (who was like a son to her) of Morse; son-in-law, David Minard of Edmond, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, Sue McCloy of College Station; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family. </p>
