Ada Marie Green

A Precious Soul

Marie Green recently passed away Thursday March 16th, 2023. She was born on November 19, 1958. She was 64 years old at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Betty Shipman Wells.

Marie loved to sit outside with her husband Steven and feed and watch the birds. She enjoyed collecting angels. Her and Steven loved to walk downtown Waynesville. She loved listening to gospel music. Marie was a member of New Hope Church of God. She was a loving mother, wife, grandparent, sister, and friend. She was most known for her passion toward others, and the heart she had for everyone that she knew.

Marie is survived by her loving husband Steven Eddie Green, Her son Stacey Lee Campbell of Canton, Two brothers Michael Anthony Wells of Canton and Roger Dale Wells of Canton. Two sisters Lou Emma Wells of Waynesville and Carolyn Weaver and her husband of Weaver of Waynesville. Three grandchildren Zachary, Isaiah, and Emberlee.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday March 20, 2023, in the Chapel at Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service her brother-in-law Rev. Dennis Queen will officiate. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery.
