George J. Becker Obituary

George James Becker, III of Doylestown passed away on March 14, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital. George was 61 years old.


Born in Philadelphia George was the son of Sue (Cossabone) and the late George J. Becker, Jr.


George was a graduate of Central Bucks East High School and Georgetown University.

George was employed as an Insurance Executive.


George had an illustrious golf career. He was a two-time captain of the Georgetown University golf team and 1983 Capitol Conference champion.


George was a long-time member of Doylestown Country Club. He had won two club championships, he was also a seven-time winner of the Father/Son championship at DCC with his father George Becker Jr., and in 1997, he won the Ross & Smith Invitational.


George had a deep love for animals and had rescued many cats and dogs in his lifetime.


In addition to his Mother Sue; George is survived by his daughter Grace Parker (Tom), and his sister Debbie Becker (Randy Gross) and his niece Storm Becker.


George will be remembered for being a wonderful son, father and brother. He was deeply loved by his family and a friend to many.


A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held at 12 noon on Friday March 31, 2023 at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Road. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until the time of service.
