John Patrick Bucksar Obituary

John Patrick “Jack” Bucksar, 81, a resident of Skippack Township, PA, since 2001, formerly of Glenside, PA, passed away Monday night, March 13, 2023, at home after a long illness. He and his wife, A. Jean (Ardrey) Bucksar, would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 12th of this year.

Born March 17, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late John and Gertrude (Murphy) Bucksar. He was a 1959 graduate of Father Judge High School. He faithfully served as a U. S. Army Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Battle Group, Company E, 327th Infantry, specializing in heavy weapons as a forward observer.

Mr. Bucksar and his wife were realtors with Long & Foster Real Estate for many years. He had formerly worked as an executive and vice president for H.F.C. and Chrysler First Business Credit in consumer and commercial lending.

A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed coaching his children and their teams in soccer, baseball and softball. One of his greatest pleasures was supporting his family, especially most recently his grandchildren, as they accomplished their dreams on and off the sports field. Jack loved the outdoors and his favorite pastimes were hunting and golf. He was a member of Sandy Run Country Club and a Sir Knight at the James A. Flaherty Council 3128, Glenside, PA. Jack was also a dedicated member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians with whom he enjoyed taking part in St. Patrick’s Day parades. Jack was a real people-person who loved his family and friends dearly. He was known for his strong charisma and happy-go-lucky attitude. His smile and presence will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, John Eric Bucksar and his wife, Sherrill, of Sunrise, FL, Nicholas James Bucksar of Abington, PA, Matthew Patrick Bucksar and his wife, Lori, of North Wales, PA, Alexandra Jeanine Hall and her husband, Jeffrey, of Middletown, DE, and Ryan John Bucksar and his wife, Victoria, of Woodstown, NJ; and ten grandchildren, Mark, Ashlee, James, Kendly, Lauren, Matthew, Jack, Bryn, Nicholas and Alexa. He is also survived by a brother, Martin Bucksar of Feasterville, PA.
