Jeanne R. Phipps
<p>Jeanne R. Phipps, 95, beloved wife of the late Hubert Phipps, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Watermark at East Hill Woods. She was born in Canada on December 4, 1927; a daughter of the late Eli and Agnes Cote Levasseur. Jeanne grew up in Limestone, Maine and lived her adult life in East Hartford, South Windsor, and later Essex, CT to be closer to her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Jeanne’s greatest joy in life was her family whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge and dining out with friends. Jeanne lived life to the fullest in her 95 years and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Jeanne leaves behind to mourn her passing, her three children, Daniel Phipps and his wife Denise, Mary Gebhart and her husband Stephen, Judy Deleeuw and her husband Dave and her sister Beatrice Violette; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Cohen and his wife Erinn, Laura McGuire and her husband Brian, Damian Lahey, Justin Phipps, and Katherine Phipps; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Sadie, Lea, Alice, Essie, and Delilah. She was predeceased by her husband Hubert and two children Robert and Elaine.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial was held privately for the family at St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor. Jeanne was laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
