Ryan William Gregg Issaquah, Washington Obituary

Ryan William Gregg

Ryan Gregg, a beloved son, brother, friend, and teacher passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, at the young age of 26.

Born on June 16th, 1996, in Kirkland, WA, Ryan spent his formative years growing up in the Snoqualmie Valley. Attending Cascade View Elementary, Snoqualmie Middle School, and Mount Si High School, he was known to be a true friend to all. A lover of all things Pacific Northwest, he could be found skiing fresh tracks at Snoqualmie Pass or, on sunny summer afternoons jumping off Meadowbrook Bridge. Ryan went on to earn a Business Degree at Washington State University and a 2nd Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Science at Green River College. Ryan then trained as a member of the Galvin Flight School where he was adored by his instructors and students alike.

Having discovered a passion for flying, Ryan jumped ‘all in’ and turned aviation into a fulfilling and successful career. With over 900 flight hours, he was an accomplished pilot and found the required structure, discipline, and ongoing skill development deeply rewarding. This dedication earned him the freedom and adventure of soaring through the skies. Anyone who experienced the cockpit with Ryan, was left having witnessed a beautiful view of this world through his eyes.

Ryan looked people and life straight in the eye. Never caught up in the material or superficial, he gracefully balanced having a carefree spirit with a full throttle attitude. From volunteering at a youth camp in Cambodia, to summiting Mount Rainier and Mount Adams, to skiing the highest peaks on the West Coast, and music festivals abound; Ryan gravitated towards environments where he could bring action and energy.

Ryan left the people he engaged moved, touched and inspired. His time on this worldly earth will leave a profoundly rich set of memories in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him. Ryan and his infectious laugh will be deeply missed. He will be remembered as a bright light and a dear friend to many.

Ryan leaves behind his parents Joe and Lisa, brothers Chris and Nick, and endless friends and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
