Charlotte V Streeter Obituary

Charlotte Vee Streeter, 87, of Bettendorf passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.


Charlotte was born on June 25, 1935, in Lake Mills, Iowa the daughter of Jerry and VaLois Moen. She married Tom Streeter on June 16, 1957, in Lake Mills. She attended UNI where she received her teaching degree and taught two years in Cresco, Iowa and one year at Fort Riley Army Base, Fort Riley, Kansas. She also taught preschool at Broadview United Methodist and the Unitarian Church for over 10 years.


Charlotte enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes. She hosted many holidays over the years and loved having her family together. She always made sure ALL family members received birthday and Christmas gifts every year, that was very important to her.

Charlotte was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Genesis Gift Shop and delivered meals on wheels for over 25 years.


Survivors include her loyal and devoted husband Tom, children, Geri (Kent) Dexter of Davenport, David (Tomi Wagner) Streeter of Davenport, Mark (Pamela) Streeter of Northbrook, Illinois, Ann Mancuso (Tim Schumacher) of Bettendorf, 8 Grandchildren, Lindsey (Brandon) Dirck, Kyle Dexter, Kristin (Wyatt) Smith, Zach Streeter, Allison Streeter, Hannah Streeter, Danielle (Josh) Toungett, Dustin Mancuso, 5 Great Grandchildren, Haley and Logan Dirck, Levi and Shea Toungett, Leon Mancuso and one on the way, a sister Maxine Woods, brother Bob Moen, and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, LaVon Chambers, brother, Les Moen.


A private  service will be held, burial will be at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.

Memorials to Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
