Glenn Murray Cochrane Obituary

We regret to inform you that Glenn Murray Cochrane, beloved brother, father, uncle, and grandfather, passed away Saturday March 11, 2023, at the age of 84. Glenn was born in Moose Jaw, SK on December 17, 1938. He resided in Moose Jaw until 1950, then moved to Manitoba, where he lived until 1959. From that point he ended up back in Saskatchewan until the present day. He passed away in his home in Regina, SK. He is predeceased by both parents, Anna Christine and Gordon; brothers Kenneth and Gary; and grandson Dalton. Glenn is survived by sister Betty Ann; brothers David (Bev), Dwight (Retha), Trevor (Marion), Gordon (Inge); and daughter Cindy (Dave); grandchildren Bruce (Lyndsay), Jodi (Bryce), Mike, Jonathan, and 3 great granddaughters; and daughter Wanda (Kevin); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Glenn was born and raised on a farm and learned to work hard. In his career paths he truly excelled in everything he put his mind to. He was a mill wright/supervisor at Ipsco as well as a heavy-duty mechanic with Strongco Rentals Sales and Services. He also worked for Loraas and a few other companies.

He was always such a kind and humble man, with a lighter and a flashlight or 2 in more than one pocket. He told the best life-stories and always had great advice, even if we didn’t always listen. Anyone who crossed paths with him had the most lovely things to say. He made the neighbours feel so safe, knowing that he was always around and always available for a chat. His daughter Cindy and his granddaughter Jodi will miss hearing him say "Hi Dear" every time he saw or talked to them on the phone. He took pride in his gardening, and always had the most perfect looking and tastiest tomatoes around, as well the rest of his flowers and garden. He took great pride in his yard. He could always figure out a way to fix something and make things easier for himself and others to use. At Glenn’s request, there will be no funeral service held.
