<p>Fay E. (Reed) Dinger, 79, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital.<br> Fay was born on March 20, 1943, a daughter of the late Lloyd A. and Helen (Sowers) Reed.<br> She attended school in Punxsutawney, PA and following her marriage to Melvin C. Dinger, in 1961, moved to East Erie. She and her husband lived there for several years before moving to Lake City and then Girard, where she resided the remainder of her life.<br> Fay worked for a time at Grettler’s Meat Market and took a job as a School Bus Driver for the Girard School District. Fay continued in that position for 26 years, retiring in 2007.<br> Throughout her life, her greatest joy was taking care of her family and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart!<br> In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Dinger Sr., whom she married August 19, 1961, in Timblin, PA; three sisters, Mildred Schreckengost, Carelene Heitzenrater and Shirley Bish; a son-in-law, Daniel Blount; a daughter-in-law, Kristy (Peterson) Dinger and grandson, Jamie Goodrich.<br> She is survived by a daughter, Terri L. Blount of Springboro; three sons, Melvin C. Dinger Jr. (Linda) of Fairview, Tracy J. Dinger of Girard and Shawn J. Dinger of Albion; two brothers, Ray E. Reed (Melva) of Ringold, PA and Russell L. Reed of Punxsutawney; ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.<br> Services will be held privately by the family.<br> Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.<br> In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Families of the Wounded Fund Inc., P.O.
