<p>Our beloved father Jose (Cachucha) Martinez Ortega, 71, of Fort Stockton, TX entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in Fort Stockton, TX.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at the Eternity Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Francis Njoku, officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Jose Martinez Ortega was born in Santa Fe Del Pino, Coahuila, Mexico, to Ramon Ortega and Paula Martinez on March 19, 1951. He attended school in Santa Elena. He worked as a Roustabout hand while employed with D&L Well Service for many years before his retirement. </p><p><br></p><p>Jose M. Ortega is preceded in death by his parents: Ramon Ortega and Paula Martinez, sisters: Celia Muniz, Rosa Jaquez, and Arminda Aranda, and brother Amador Ortega. </p><p><br></p><p>Jose is survived by his beloved children: Jose Luis (Laura) Ortega Sr. of Amarillo, TX, and Susie (Anastacio) Dominguez of Fort Stockton, TX, brothers: Ramon Ortega Jr., Elizardo Ortega, Israel Ortega, Armando Ortega, sister: Noelia Ortega, 7 grandchildren: Valerie Ortega, Luis Dominguez, Jose Luis Ortega Jr., Julian Ortega, Alyana Dominguez, Alexia Dominguez, and Abby Ortega, and Partner Otila Ibarra. </p><p><br></p><p>The pallbearers will be Francisco Jacques, Gilberto Jacques, Armando Ortega Jr. Alfredo Ortega, Erik Ortega, and Orlando Nevarez. Honorary pallbearers: Adrian Nevares, and Jesus (Chuy) Jacques. </p><p><br></p><p>Our family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Fresenius Dialysis Center, Focus Care of Fort Stockton, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Eternity Funeral Home, and our family and friends for the compassion and love you have shown to us and our beloved father.</p>March 15, 202303/15/2023
