Dewey Fred Morton, 67, of 1510 Hebron Street, Hendersonville, North Carolina, died Sunday March 12, 2023 at Valley Hill Health & Rehab in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Mr. Morton was a son of the late John Henry and Ercel Watson Morton. He was born in Pickens County and a former resident of Liberty. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving six aunts, Evelyn Townsend of Easley, Anne Etter of Ware Place, Linda Galloway of Rosman, North Carolina, Helen Whitmire of Tennessee, Louise Simmons of Seneca, and Carolyn Leopard of Liberty.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Mack Morton; four aunts, Willa Mae Pitts, Frances Nix, Vivian Snipes and Patricia Watson; and one uncle, Lymon Watson.
