Elizabeth Ann Babyak

<p>Elizabeth Babyak, 86, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.&nbsp; Born in Niles, Ohio on December 21, 1936, Elizabeth was the daughter of Nicholas “Mike” and Elizabeth Shangula Petro. </p><p>She attended St. Stephen’s Parochial School in Niles, Ohio until 1950, and then she attended St. Mary’s High School, graduating with the class of 1954. </p><p>After completing comptometer school in Youngstown, she was employed in the office of Little Macs grocery store.&nbsp; Elizabeth also had worked in the coal analysis lab for the Ohio Edison Power Plant. &nbsp;&nbsp;In later years, she would venture into the business world by opening a gift shop in Newton Falls.&nbsp; Elizabeth operated this successful business for ten years. </p><p>Elizabeth met her future husband, Michael Babyak, at a girlfriend’s wedding.&nbsp; Six months after their meeting, Elizabeth and Michael were united in marriage on October 25, 1958 in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio. </p><p>Enjoying her life as a homemaker, Elizabeth was a loving wife and mother.&nbsp; During her spare time, she would work on her needlepoint and crocheting.&nbsp; Her loving and caring son, Michael, would provide for her needs after the passing of her husband in 2008.&nbsp; </p><p>Preceding Elizabeth in death were her husband, Michael; her sister, Eve; and her brothers, Nicholas and David.&nbsp; Her brother, Richard, survives. </p><p>Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, Ohio. </p><p>A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at St. Peter and St. Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren, Ohio with Father William Rupp as celebrant. </p><p>Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Newton Township, Ohio. </p>

Elizabeth Babyak, 86, of Newton Falls, Ohio passed peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  Born in Niles, Ohio on December 21, 1936, Elizabeth was the daughter of Nicholas “Mike” and Elizabeth Shangula Petro.
