Karen Marie Anderson

<p>Loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Karen Marie Anderson, 71, of Jefferson City, Missouri, entered into her heavenly home on Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Karen was born in Ferguson, Missouri, on December 16, 1951; a daughter to the late Robert and Laverne Anderson.</p><p><br></p><p>In 1970, Karen graduated from Fatima High School. She dedicated the majority of her career to the State of Missouri Commission of Human Rights, putting in 42 years of service. Karen loved God above all else and as an overflow of that love, she had a heart of service and loved helping people and standing up for them. She enjoyed gardening, her cat, Bella, and spending time with and taking care of her family. She made a positive and tremendous impact on the world around her and she will be missed immensely by those who love her.</p><p><br></p><p>Karen is survived by her daughter, Heather Gieck; granddaughters, Chelsea Woodling (Zachary Cerezo), Shania (Adam) Huesgen-Britton, and Summer Dawn Williams; great-grandchildren, Remington Cerezo-Moore, Lilliana and Artemis Cerezo, and William, Alela and Elul Britton; and sisters, Caroline (Jeff) Sanders, Kathy (Stephan) Johannesmeyer, and Cindy Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laverne; and brothers, Chris, Curt, and Robert Anderson.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at House of Prayer Family Church from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109 (573) 636-3838.
