Scott Bauer

Scott Douglas Bauer, age 61, formerly of Tennessee,  passed away Wednesday the 15th day of March 2023 at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Scott was born on Sunday the 16th day of July 1961 in New London, Ohio to the union of the late Don Richard and Georgie Raine Everman Bauer. He attended New London Schools until 9th grade when his family moved to Quality, Kentucky. He was a 1980 graduate of Butler County High School, where he excelled in sports and set records in football and on the track team. He still holds the pole vaulting record at the Butler County High School. Scott was an electrician by trade, an avid fisherman and loved flying RC airplanes. He was a member of Music City Aviators and Foambusters and volunteered at a bird sanctuary. As well as his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Fred and Joy Bauer and maternal grandparents Elva and Gustava Everman.

Scott Douglas Bauer is survived by two sons Richard McDonald (Aimee) of Mobile, AL and Mark McDonald of Russellville, KY; one brother David Bauer (Mia) of Virginia; four sisters Deanna Embry (Darrell) of Morgantown, KY, Sharon Bauer of Bowling Green, KY, Sandra Justus (Logan) of Texas and Karen Hyams of Russellville, KY; two grandchildren Makena and Emma McDonald and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 4:00pm with Bro. Jewel Martin officiating. A private burial will be held in the Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2:30pm until service time at 4:00pm at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church.
