<p>Marlene, loving wife of Verlon Trammell for 72 years, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for the past several years.</p><p><br></p><p>Marlene was born May 26, 1935, in Orofino, the daughter of the late John and Bonnie Starr. In addition to her husband Verlon, Marlene also leaves behind her loving family, John (Nora, deceased) Trammell, Ron (Amy) Trammell, Cherryl Trammell (deceased), Teresa (Rod) Thrall, grandchildren Dylan Trammell, Troy Thrall, Travis Thrall, Christine Burk, brother Daryl (Debbie) Starr and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Marlene enjoyed attending courses at Lewis-Clark State College. She especially enjoyed her long walks, volunteering at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and pets.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside funeral services and burial will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor or memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org, or the Humane Society at humanesociety.org.</p>

Marlene, loving wife of Verlon Trammell for 72 years, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for the past several years.


Marlene was born May 26, 1935, in Orofino, the daughter of the late John and Bonnie Starr.
