Jeanne Johnson, 94, formerly of Willmar, died Wednesday, March 15th at Casa Arena Blanca Nursing Home in Alamogordo, NM. Her memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19th at Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar, www.hafh.org.

Jeanne was born, the middle child, of August and Mamie (Anderson) Falk on August 8, 1928. She grew up on the family farm in rural Murdock, MN. She attended country school and graduated from Murdock High School in 1946.

Jeanne married Kenneth LeRoy Johnson on August 28, 1948. They lived in Kerkhoven where she worked at the Gamble's Department Store until their son Randall was born in 1951. In 1955 they moved to Cupertino, CA where Jeanne worked at Hewlett-Packard. The family moved back to Minnesota in 1959. They lived in Sherwood Forest and Jeanne worked at General Mills.

In 1961 the family moved back to California. Jeanne then worked at the San Jose Sears store where she sold kitchen appliances and became the first female Sears employee to design kitchen remodeling. The family moved several more times within California before returning to Minnesota in 1981. They settled in Willmar where they owned and managed a motel until moving to Maple Plain in 1989. Jeanne worked at a local bakery until she and Ken returned to the Willmar area in 1990 where they retired.

Jeanne was raised and confirmed in the Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock. She also spent much time at the Frank Lake Covenant Church. She remained in the Lutheran Church throughout the many moves, teaching Sunday school and singing for special occasions. She also belonged to the Lutheran Women's group. In 2006, she and Ken joined the First Covenant Church in Willmar.

Jeanne's interests included sewing and spending time on the computer. She liked to sew, both for herself and for others. And she especially enjoyed keeping in touch with relatives and friends by sending and receiving e-mails on the computer.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Rand (Kay) Johnson; grandson, Cale (Amanda) Johnson; great-grandchildren Addi, Corbin, Emmalin, Amelia and Molly Johnson and Cameron, Declan, and Kanan Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; brothers, Wendell Falk and Kenneth Falk, parents and grandson, Trevor Johnson.
