Doris June Tollett of Baird joined her Savior and loved ones in Heaven Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 91.

Doris was born August 30, 1931 in Rivera, California to Claude and Mary Nelson Willyard.  She graduated from Inglewood High School in Inglewood, California in 1949.  She married William (Bill) Tollett on her 21st birthday, August 30, 1952 in Reno, Nevada and the couple had two sons, Dale and Randy. Later in life, Doris went to Cisco Junior College, where she earned her LVN degree.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill on December 24, 2000, and her son Dale on March 5, 2019.

Survivors include her son Randy and wife Julie of Baird; Teresa Tollett of Abilene; grandchildren Danny Tollett and wife Jennifer of Abilene, Chris Tollett and wife Alana of Baird, and Cassie Baumann and husband Coby of Ohio; and great-grandchildren Grady and Julianne Baumann of Ohio, Adalyn Tollett of Abilene and Cullen Tollett of Baird.

Doris will be buried next to Bill at Ross Cemetery Annex.  The family plans a private gathering in her memory.

Donations in Doris’ honor are suggested to the Baird Volunteer Fire Department.
