In Loving Memory Of

Richard Freddie Paplow

Richard Paplow, the son of Freddie and Vida (Dittman) Paplow, was born on November 17, 1950 in Windom, MN. He was baptized at the Heron Lake Lutheran Church and confirmed there also. He attended school in Westbrook and graduated in 1968. Richard continued farming with his father and brother and attended Vocational School in Jackson, MN. In October of 1969 he volunteered for the service in the USAR. Richard was united in marriage to Diann Stewart on September 19, 1970 and to this union they had 2 children, daughter, Shalace and son, Broch. They later divorced. Richard started a long employment in August of 1970 at the TORO Co. and joined the union there and served and held several positions in the local Lodge 1956. On April 28, 2001 he married Linda Ysker. In 2016 they retired from TORO and bought a home in Mesa, AZ to spend their winters. Over the years they traveled to a lot of different places. Richard passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his home in rural Fulda at the age of 72. He loved to farm, hunt, fish and camp.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Paplow of Fulda, MN; children, Sheli (Chris) Snyder of Redwood City, CA and Broch (Jill) Paplow of Verndale, MN; 3 stepchildren, Devon (Tami) Ysker of Lakefield, MN, Telly (Amy) Ysker of Ogden, IA and Nicky Ysker of Windom, MN; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and brother, Gene Paplow of Fulda, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Paplow.

Funeral Services

First Presbyterian Church Fulda, MN at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with Rev. Lance Isaacson officiating.  The organist is Norma Meyeraan. The pallbearers are Chad Madson, Curt Madson, Chris Paplow, Blake Paplow, Jace Paplow and Ryan Paplow. Interment at the Dundee Lutheran Cemetery Dundee, MN, at a later date.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
