<p><b>Eleanor Jean Hunter Davis, 86, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Continuous Care Center in Wheeling Hospital.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>She was born March 9, 1937, in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Genevieve Scott Hunter.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Eleanor was a retired nurse’s aide at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, WV, and a Baptist with a true faith in God.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>She loved her husband and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the family encourager and entertainer at gatherings. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anyone about her.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Davis, Sr. in 2003; 8 brothers, Coy, Paul Jr., Charles, Frank, Bob, Richard, John & Jim Hunter; twin sister, Ellen Davis; sister, Martha Moore; son, Donnie Davis; daughter, Debra Minch; grandson, Brian Michael Hostutler; 2 great-grandsons, Logan Charles Minch & Gauge Lee Murrin; and son-in-law, Ron Bence.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Eleanor is survived by son, Harold "Buddy" (Karen) Davis; 5 daughters, Edie (Chuck) Minch, Linda Gaus, Jackie Bence, Janice (Brian Richardson) King & Patty (Kenny) Wallace; daughter-in-law, Kim Forney; sister, Maxine Phipps; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Friends will be received on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
