Boyd Brown Obituary

Boyd “Boss” Brown, 84,  was born to Henry Brown Sr. and Mae (Noble) Brown on May 23, 1938 in Natural Dam, Arkansas. He had five brothers and five sisters.  The family moved to Washington State when he was little.  In his high school years, he played full back on the football team.  He met the love of his life Shirley Warner in high school and this year in June they would have celebrated their 64 anniversary.   Boyd and Shirley were blessed with Cheryl and Daryl. Boyd worked hard providing for his family. He worked many jobs, but the best ones were working for McBride Ranches and for Parrish Farms.  He loved working outdoors, riding his horse and managing the cattle.

He also was an artificial inseminator for cattle.  Boyd had a great passion for fishing and hunting. Both he and Shirley spent many hours hunting with family and friends. The freezer was always filled with elk, deer, pheasant, salmon, and many other varieties of game.  The family spent many summers down on the Columbia River fishing. He also was a talented bare foot water skier. Boyd loved watching sports and westerns.  Boyd had a big heart and would take the shirt off his back to help anyone.  He was a kind and strong-willed man wrapped into one.  His family was his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Brown Sr. and Mae Brown.  Brothers, Jonah, Henry Jr. (Vivian), William (Bill), Harold, and Paul (Sam). Sisters Ann Jackson (Paul), Joyce Piel, Lorene Blaine (Roy) and son-in-law Ron Blanchard. Boyd is survived by his wife, Shirley (Warner) Brown.  Daughter Cheryl Blanchard, Son Daryl Brown, grandchildren Stephanie Domingo (Josh), Michelle Blanchard (Jr. Landa), Great grandchildren, Andrew Blanchard, Catalina Domingo, Hanalei Domingo, sisters Carol McBride Waller (Gene), Sue Benjert Garretson (Rich) and many extended friends and family.
