Mr. Milton Preston Scarlett, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 while at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born on August 13, 1943 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Hillard and Pauline Hussey Scarlett. Milton was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  He was owner and operator of Scarlett Drywall.  Milton’s memory will be cherished and remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

Surviving of the home is his wife of 56 years, Susan Scarlett; four sons, Rowdy Preston Scarlett of Charlotte, Tony Preston Scarlett (Gail) of Mocksville, Jeffrey Eric Scarlett (Nina) of Kernersville, and Michael Lee Scarlett (Amber) of Randleman; sister, Ruby Hutchins (Jimmy) of Winston-Salem; brother, Billy Lee Scarlett (Janet) of Thomasville; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor David Harmon officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
