<p>Kathleen L. Britton, age 90 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at The Laurels of Defiance. <br> <br> She was born on May 25, 1932 to the late Curtis and Delta (Lang) Geren in Defiance, Ohio. Kathleen was a faithful member of Defiance Christian Church. She worked in the food service department at the Defiance College for over 38 years until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed flower arranging, furniture upholstery, and loved doing arts and crafts all her life. She made wood fiber flowers before silks were popular. Kathleen enjoyed her time spent as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.<br> <br> Kathleen is survived by her loving children; Mary Davenport of Defiance, Paul Britton of Olca, FL, John Britton of Defiance, and Mark (Dyanne) Britton of Henderson, NV, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and her sister, Joyce E. Carr of West Millgrove, OH. <br> <br> She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Harold G. Geren and Robert L. Geren, her sister, Janice Lewis, grandson Brandon C. Britton, daughter-in-law Joan Britton, and son-in-law Roger Davenport. <br> <br> Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Defiance Christian Church, 955 Standley Road in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church, with Pastor Mike Hasselbring and Chaplain Mark Britton officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. </p><p>Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.<br> <br> Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses. </p>May 25, 1932 - March 14, 202305/25/193203/14/2023
