Burnap of Bridgewater, husband of Karen M. Burnap (Knight), age 64 died peacefully on March 13th after a long and valiant fight with cancer.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Edward was the loving son of Joan C. Burnap of Bridgewater and the late Thomas H. Burnap. He was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School Class of 1976 where he excelled at football. Ed would marry his high school sweetheart Karen Knight and the two settled in Bridgewater where they raised their children. Ed was a devoted father who thrived on watching his kids succeed in baseball and dancing. Ed worked as a forklift driver for over 25 years for the Shaw’s Warehouse in East Bridgewater and would work various jobs after it closure in 2000. Ed’s passion was camping with his family and friends. They would typically go away every holiday weekend and for two weeks in the summer. Some of their favorite destinations were Normandy Farms, Walt Disney World, Myrtle Beach, and Point Sebago.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Later in life when the kids were older Ed and Karen enjoyed cruising and traveling to New England Patriots away games. He also enjoyed attending all his grandkids sporting events and activities, from baseball, football, basketball, soccer and softball. Ed kept his sense of humor right up to the end and his no filter straight forward personality will be missed by all who knew him. Ed was the loving husband of 46 years to Karen, the Father of Kenneth E. Burnap and his wife Erin of East Taunton and Jennifer R Burnap-Amaral and her husband Josh of Lakeville. He was the proud “Grampy” of Alana, Kevin, Abigail, Dylan, Lauren, and Ava. Brother of Wayne T. Burnap and his wife Pamela of West Bridgewater. Loving son in law of Barbara A. Knight of West Bridgewater and the late Richard A. Knight. Brother-in-law of Debra A. Korotsky and her husband Steve of Raynham, Barbara S. McLaughlin and her husband Bob of Easton, and Richard A. Knight of West Bridgewater. Ed is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>All are cordially invited to his wake at the Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Monday, March 20 from 4-8pm.
