Jessie Ciara Uch Obituary

Jessie Ciara Uch, 17, of Rainier, Washington, sadly left us on March 4, 2023. She is survived by her dad, Sopheak Uch; her mom, Unruan Stallings; her older brother, Jacob Kan Uch; her younger brother, Jayden Sopheak Uch; two grandmas, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jessie was born on July 1, 2005, coming into this world as a happy, curious little baby. She grew up loving to dance, sing, cheer, fashion, and everything about animals.

Jessie was a beloved member of the Rainier High School Cheerleading Squad. They loved her selfless, kind, positive attitude and she loved all of them. She will be remembered for her effervescent, ray of sunshine personality.

Her multitude of cousins that she grew up with will remember her for dancing, baking cookies, sleepovers, exchanging clothes, discovering different places, sharing birthdays and holidays together. They will miss her fun spirit, sweet smile, and her radiant personality so very much.

She will always be remembered for being protective of her family, most especially for her brothers, Jacob and Jayden. Even at a young age, she had a sense of awareness, was very observant of others without judgment, and she wanted to ensure that her family was safe from anyone who came around. This protective nature carried her all the way into her young adult life. Her parents will always be grateful and blessed for her pure and compassionate heart. Her smile and laughter would completely wipe out whatever hard day you may have had. She was very attentive to everyone. She shared her love with anyone she came in contact with.

One beautiful story that her parents would like to share about Jessie was when she was 10 years old, showing kindness towards strangers. It was around Christmas time and Jessie had asked for Christmas money. Her parents asked her if she would like to use the money to buy Christmas toys for herself? She replied “No.” She said she wanted to help families that could use some extra help during the holidays. She was given $60; she placed $20 into three separate envelopes and requested her parents to take her to various stores. While at the store, Jessie would observe a few people until she found someone she felt could be helped with the extra funds. She would greet them with a big smile, as she handed them the envelope and, with pure joy as she walked away, wished them a “Happy Holiday.” This type of generosity encompassed who Jessie truly was.

We will miss you, Jessie. We thank you for the memories that we have all shared with you. You will never be forgotten. Your spirit and your love will always be with us. May your soul rest in God’s embrace.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Olympia High School Performing Arts Center, 1302 North St. SE, Olympia, WA 98501.
