Teresa Bertolina
<p>Teresa Marie Bertolina (63) died in her home on March 13, 2023. Teri was the daughter of Bernard and Doris Bertolina. Teri was born on September 26, 1959 and grew up in Walbridge, Ohio. She attended St Jerome Grade School and Cardinal Stritch High School.</p><p>As a child, Teri enjoyed spending time with her grandparents in an old Pennsylvania coal mining town where she had lots of childhood adventures and ate lots of fabulous homemade Italian food.</p><p><br></p><p>Many summers, Teri went to her mother’s family cottage in Red Rock, Pennsylvania near Ligonier. She loved the fresh mountain air and spending time there. It was something she always looked forward to.</p><p><br></p><p>Teri loved the arts. She took ballet lessons for many years and loved dancing, singing and performing. During high school she sang "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy at the Miss Teen State Pageant which brought the audience to their feet. She once sang and danced at the St Charles Hospital Diamond Review. She also loved the theater and went as often as she could.</p><p><br></p><p>One of Teri's passions was entertaining. She was the consummate hostess, setting beautiful tables with fabulous food, pastries that rivaled any French patisserie, and, at every Christmas, decorative cookies galore. She maintained an immaculate home with warmth and classic beauty. Her attire and presence was always tastefully perfect, always our elegant princess. Of course, her greatest love was spending time with her nieces and their children.</p><p><br></p><p>Teri retired after 30 years as a maintenance administrator for AT&T. She will be heartfully missed,</p><p><br></p><p>Teri is survived by her father Bud and her nieces, Alisha, Angela, Andrea, Alivia, their husbands, her 10 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew as well as special friend Gary Beach. Teri was predeceased by her mother, Doris, and brother, Mark.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 at Witzler-Shank-Walker in Walbridge. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 18, at St. Jerome Parish in Walbridge at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jerome Catholic Church.
