Mabel Kellam Edwards peacefully completed her 99years, 11 months, and 3 days on earth on Monday March 13, 2023 and reunited with her family and friends in heavenly glory. Mabel was born in Accomack County, Virginia on April 10, 1923. She was the daughter of Mary Davis Kellam and Henry Kellam. Her family, which included six siblings, moved to Trenton, New Jersey when Mabel was three years old.

A life-long resident of Trenton, Mabel attended Trenton Public Schools, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. She proudly considered Trenton her home. In 1956, Mabel married Sandy Edwards, but her husband passed away in 1965. Mabel retired from Trenton’s Circle F Co. after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Roxie Kellam Morris; and five brothers, Hiram, Albert, Booker, Johnny, and Brent Kellam.

Mabel leaves to cherish her loving memory her step-son, James Edwards; three nieces, Brenda Kellam Cusack of Trenton, New Jersey, Barbara Kellam Ollarvia (Antonio) of Saint Augustine, Florida, and Linda Dyke (Lindell) of Trenton, New Jersey; two nephews, Dellwood Gable Kellam of Trenton, New Jersey and Alphonso Gable Kellam of Bound Brook, New Jersey; five great nieces, Pamela Cusack of Bordentown, New Jersey, Chrysti Huff (Nicky) of Ewing, New Jersey, and Carmen Bailey of Trenton New Jersey; two great nephews, Gregory Cusack (Takako) of Deland, Florida and Carlos Ollarvia of Collingswood, New Jersey; one cousin, Michael Tuitt (Khadijah ) of Springfield, Massachusetts; four great-grandnieces, Geanae Cusack, Helen and Hailee Glover, and Kennedy Hendrix; eight great-grandnephews, Gregory Waymon Cusack, Drake (Jenessa) and Shoryu Cusack, Jahquel Lofton, Ricky and Raekwon Bailey, Jordan White (Destyne), and Aleem Huff, five great great-grandnieces and grandnephews; and a host of friends whom will also cherish Mabel’s sweet memory.
