<p>Irene O'Neil of North Providence, RI passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2023. Born in Providence, RI on December 1st, 1922, she recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Irene was the daughter of Mildred McCann and Robert Walmsley, both deceased, and the wife of predeceased Henry O'Neil II. She is survived by her four children, Edna, Nancy, Barbara, and Henry III, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Irene was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild. Irene was a one of a kind, once in a generation woman: maternal, strong, caring, independent, and so much more. She will be best remembered for her easy and infectious laugh, the pride she had in her family, and her love of sweet treats. She would happily talk anyone's gar off about her family's various accomplishments while eating her 2nd (or 3rd or 4th...) Lindt truffle. She lived an incredible life filled with 100 years of love and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
