Hugh D. Lamb, 60 of Parsons, died at 10:59 A.M., Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Mercy Hospital at Joplin.

He was born September 3, 1962 at Parsons, a son of Gary and Barbara Anne (Hunter) Lamb. He was raised at Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School in 1980. He was employed at Heck and Wicker for numerous years. He was very hard working and took a lot of pride in doing his jobs.

In 1989 he was united in marriage to Kelly Minor at Parsons. They later divorced. He later married LeeAnne Murdock. She survives of the home.

He adored his family and was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed attending gatherings of family and friends.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons – David Lamb, Derek Lamb, Sarah Lamb; four step-children – AsJa Cole, Haley Sutton, Tanner Sutton, and his wife, Pride, Christian Sutton; eight grandchildren – Tucker, Noah and Blaise Myers, Autumn, Mia, Mason, Summer and Reveille Sutton; one brother – Steve Lamb; two sisters – Sherri Milks and Brenda Beard; many nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to an education fund established at the Golden Plains Credit Union for his children’s and grandchildren’s education.
