<p>On Monday March 13, 2023, Stephen -Steve- Allen Alcock, loving husband and father of two children, passed away after a prolonged illness at the age of 68.</p><p><br></p><p>Steve was born on January 21st in Saginaw, Michigan to Elizabeth and Harley Alcock and was an only child. He received multiple degrees from Michigan State and Central Michigan and worked for Chrysler, now Stellantis, until his retirement in 2008. During this time, he resided in Graz, Austria and led the procurement team as a director at the Eurostar Plant. He met his future wife Martina there and both children, Luise “Lea” and Joshua were born there. In early 2002 the family moved to Rochester Hills which they are still calling home.</p><p><br></p><p>Steve loved being a dad and his happiest moments were spent teaching his young children about nature and finding native wildlife like snakes and turtles. He loved every creature big and small. The Cottage on Little Wolf Lake in Northern Michigan was his refuge, especially when he suffered a series of strokes that left a mark, first mentally and in later years physically as well. He was a proud dad, seeing his daughter graduate from college and his son following his footsteps at MSU. He was a true Spartan- especially how he faced his illness- always Spartan Strong.</p><p><br></p><p>Steve was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth and his father Harley. He is survived by his wife Martina, his two children Lea and Josh and several cousins of the Maxwell clan from Saginaw.</p>
